There are times when malfunctions or breakages can be caused by an issue with a garage door. Some of these issues are easy to fix while other may need a garage door repair expert for assistance. The video below will demonstrate how to fix one of these problems.

The most frequent problem with garage doors occurs when the cable pulls away from the drum. This causes the door to be stuck in its previous location. The garage door is at its initial position shown in this video. This is a relatively easy issue to address. You will first need two vice grips. Grab the vice grips, and then place them under one of the rollers on the bottom of the door. This prevents the door from moving down. Take a ladder or step stool, and disconnect the wire loop at the bottom of the fixture. Next, you must remove the wiring from the drum using a screwdriver to remove it. It is important to put the end of the cable into the drum. Once you have it in place, wrap it around drum using the high-lift section. When the cable is no longer wrapped around the drum, connect it back to the base fixture. Finally, remove the vice clips and pull the door down. Now your garage door should be working properly.
